Our Values:

Our values are important to us they shape and form us into the community we are and what we hope to be.

1. We Worship

We are a Christian Community so worship is important to us. In our worship we enjoy music, colour, sound, dance, drama. movement, speech and technology. In our worship we bring all these things together.
We value worship as a creative and enjoyable activity as we engage with our emotions, minds and our bodies to worship God and give Him the glory. That is why worship is fun as we engage with joy, variety, innovation and passion because God is these things.

2. We Pray

Prayer and meditation are very important to us. Prayer is essential to engage with life spirituality. Prayer is simply talking to God. A life lived in prayer mirrors the life of Jesus who valued time spent with God.
Every relationship benefits from engagement and communication. The spiritual relationship with Jesus is no different. Time spent with Jesus is quality time.

3. We Create

God is creative as the opening verses of the Bible teaches. We are created in the image of a creative God. Therefore we have the capacity and ability to be creative in many ways, for example with our time, space and finances.
We are a creative community that encourages creativity in a safe environment. A place for people to express themselves for example through, music, art, photography, web design and hospitality.
We encourage people to join us and use their gifts and skills and discover new ones. We are a creative community and as a result our creativity grows.

4. We learn

We value the Bible because its stories help us to understand what God is like. The events in the Bible happened and the lessons contained within them continue to be relevant and helpful.
Sometimes churches are places where someone does all the thinking for you. We want to encourage people to ask questions about their faith and explore for themselves what being a Christian means for them.
Learning is good but being a Christian is more than knowing a list of rules and regulations. It is about exploring what Christian spirituality means for you in community with others.

5. We  Live

The church is often perceived as stuffy and boring and does not express the abundant life that Jesus talked about. Through the various clubs and events we arrange we always enjoy ourselves. We encourage fun. We welcome new people because we enjoy making new friends.
We make it our intention to have fun together and lots of it. We enjoy many activities at church for all ages but we also enjoy going to the cinema, going out for a meal, or a BBQ, a visit to Africa Alive or Pleasuewood Hills, an afternoon on the beach or a boat on the broads. We live the abundant life.

6. We Transform

Caring for each other is central to our life as a Christian community. Jesus treated everyone equally and gave them time and space to express their feelings.
We are a growing caring Christian community that gives people of all ages the time and space to be themselves and grow in every area of their lives, mentally, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually, empowering people to reach their full potential.

7. We Influence

Our slogan states our purpose is to build lives and build community. Simplified our purpose is to serve beyond our gatherings. As a Christian community we don't exist for ourselves, we exist to serve God, each other and the local community.
To serve effectively we make the connections between our faith and our daily lives. The various events we provide are a spiritual resource that influence our lives as followers of Jesus. Our spiritual community equips us to influentially serve and build lives and community.

8. We Give

Many people are hostile towards the church and sometimes for good reason. However, we are redefining what it means to belong to a Christian community. Our community is designed to be a generous community, a gift to people who are seeking meaningful spirituality.
As Christians we believe that everything is a gift that is why we encourage personal gifts and participation. It's great when you feel affirmed in what you are good at, be it web design, art, photography, knitting, crafts, sport, music or manaaging money.
Being generous is not easy in a society that is motivated by consumerism. Christian spirituality is unashamedly generous and worth exploring further.

9. We Celebrate

The story of Jesus is one marked by joy.
Joy is central to our community. Joy is different to happiness because happiness depends on what happens to us. Joy is being at peace, stable and secure regardless of personal circumstances.
Jesus was often seen at parties, out for walks and eating with friends. He had fun.
Fun is not getting drunk or taking drugs or doing on-line gambling. We need to re define what fun means. We celebrate life and have fun.    Why not?

10. We Include

One of the deepest longings in the human heart is to be loved for yourself alone. To simply belong. We welcome everyone to our community. Come and join us on this journey.
As a community we enjoy movement because as we move towards exploring what being a Christian might mean today then God moves to us through a personal relationship with Jesus by the awareness if His Spirit.
We do not pressure anyone to be a certain way or do particular things. Rather we create space and make opportunities for people to explore what being a Christian might mean for them.

You are welcome
